PJ’s Eagle Scout Court of Honor was held on Saturday, June 26th in the Town Hall.  PJ received commendations from the President, Governor, and even the Chairman of the Nashoba Regional School Committee!  As usual, this ceremony was well attended and included fellow scouts, friends and family.

Fellow Eagle Andy Hogan was kind enough to share these photos with the troop.  Click on the images to see them larger.

Tip of the hat to the Troops newest Eagle, LB. Here’s the smiling man himself after the Eagle Scout Court Of Honor where he received his hard earned award.

The Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Daniel Hayward Blanton was held on Sunday, December 27th at 3pm in the Old Town Hall. It was a well attended ceremony that included friends and family. The Master of Ceremonies was Danny’s brother Bobby. The invocation was given by Rev. David Bennett. John Paul kicked off the formal opening and Gary gave one of his usual great slide shows which chronicled LB’s trail to Eagle. Some really great shots of LB over the years, spanning some Cub Scouting gems up to the high adventure trip in Wyoming. The real treat was watching the actual Eagle presentation, which was given by John Paul. The Eagle badge was pinned to LB’s uniform by a very proud mother.

Following that there were several nice commendations and certificates from the Bruce Trefry of Stow Conservation Commission, Mercedes Tyler presenting the certificate from the Board of Selectmen, and Pat Walrath presenting awards from the State House, Governor Patrick and the US Congress. The event was followed up with a social that included a nice selection of finger foods, including some diced fried SPAM on toothpicks. It wouldn’t be a real Troop event without SPAM. There was also a most impressive collection of Eagle Scouting memorabilia that belongs to LB’s grandfather. It included the original merit badge award cards and the merit badge book to help you decipher many of the awards that are no longer part of the program.

All in all a really nice day. Congratulations to Daniel. It’s a great achievement.

Here are a few more photos of the event. Click on one the pix to see them a bit larger.
