Earlier this winter the Troop added another great addition to their already long line of Eagle Scouts, Daniel Steven Paladini. The Eagle Court of Honor was held at the old town hall on January 2, 2011. The Master of Ceremonies was his brother Alex. The Court was well attended by friends, family, scouts and other dignitaries who presented Dan with special commendations to go along with his well deserved Eagle.

The eagle is the highest award granted to a Scout who attained the goals of the Boy Scouts of America. It symbolizes leadership, ingenuity, and perseverance. The path towards Eagle is both wearing and demanding. But the Eagle Scout, practicing principles outlined by the Scout Oath and Scout Law, has accepted the challenge. His journey has been exciting and discouraging’ work and great fun; fair and stormy. He has aspired to live and serve according to Scouting’s ideals, as well as rendered a significant service to his community. In successfully meeting the challenge, he has grown in stature, and maturity, and has earned our respect.

Congratulations to Dan, you are wearing it well. Click on any of the pictures to see them larger in the light box.
